It looks like the closest light rail station to her location is Draper Town Center on Pioneer Rd. I tried it also breaking the trip up into two segments but no luck. I've looked at the UTA website trying to piece together a route and it looks like green line from airport to Salt Lake City central station and then blue line down to Draper, but when I use the trip planner it says no routes are available. We won't need a car once we are there so it doesn't make too much sense to rent a car just to get to her location from the airport, then turn around and return it the next day. Thinking of riding Trax from SLC airport to a station in Draper where a relative can pick us up - far easier for us to ride to her location (even with switching trains) instead of her driving up to airport.
